During calendar year 2019, visitors pumped more than $26.7 billon into the state’s economy, up more than 5 percent from 2018, according to the N.C. Department of Commerce.” – Smoky Mountain News.

How many of those folks truly had unique, fulfilling experiences?

Grandfather Mountain? The Parkway? How about Applebees? They’re okay, but there has to be more, right?

Yes! Here’s why:

The owner/operator of Unseen Pass, Kyle, has been coming to the mountains since he was a child to stay at his uncles’ cabins since the late ’80s. Kyle always considered himself an adventurer.

When Kyle was 10, his parents purchased a cabin in Lansing, NC (Kyle’s story). He spent years exploring the backroads, rivers, creeks, and woods of Ashe County. He has seen things he wish he could show most people he knows.

Kyle has had friends come up to the mountains without much direction and visit the typical, over-rated, packed-out destinations. After they return form their trip, normally a few days or weeks after – they ask Kyle something along the lines of – “what should I have done?“. Kyle’s answer is most of the time like “shoot, you should have check out… and you should done this and that.” Based on Kyle’s knowledge, he has put together routes that include the best, rare scenes.

Why not take advantage the hours put into finding the unseen?

Unseen Pass mapped out the best scenic routes in the mountains of Ashe County, NC for years before renting Roxor SXS.

It’s rare someone posts a picture from Pond Mountain, Helton Creek, or Quillen Ridge Road.

Seen this?

Probably not, right?
