I spent years finding hidden mountain roads and views that felt unreal—but my family couldn’t experience them the same way. So I built Unseen Pass.

Today, we give everyday adventurers street-legal UTVs and curated routes that unlock backroads, overlooks, and moments most people never knew existed.

It’s safe, approachable, and powerful—and it turns a trip into a lifelong memory.

The truth about the Blue Ridge Mountains

Most people come to the mountains and see what’s easy to reach: the overlooks with guardrails, the paved pull-offs, the same couple of “top 10” spots everyone posts (aka the tourist traps).

But the places that actually change you?

They’re down the gravel. Past the last bit of cell service. Up the ridge line you’d never turn onto in a normal car.

You can feel they exist… but you don’t know how to get there—or whether you should even try.

I’m Kyle Wrightenberry, founder of Unseen Pass.

I spent years exploring these mountains and backroads and kept running into the same frustration: the most unforgettable places weren’t “tourist-accessible,” and the people I cared about most couldn’t experience them the way I did.

So I created a new kind of adventure in West Jefferson:
